"That’s So True" Gracie Abrams

I’ve been listening to Gracie Abrams for a while, however I never thought about how quickly she hit the #1 in the UK like that.  That’s So True proves her solid songwriting skill and the markets’ trend for sure.  I felt her passion for music and her doing it when I listened to the song at first.  This triumph definitely boosts her fans’ numbers and regions.  She’s going to be a world class singer songwriter.

“People Watching” Sam Fender

The 80’s reminder again!  It’s like time travel listening to this song.  People Watching by Sam Fender sounds like a Pop Rock Hit in the “best MTV Era”, not only the song itself, but also its arrangement, the instrumental tones, productions and his voice!   As I listened to the song a couple of times, I found out its lyric structure is unique, unlike the 80’s songwriting, much more closer to the 2010’s.  That’s why it comes to us so naturally.

“Nice to Meet You” Myles Smith

I thought it was Dasha’s Austin intro but it wasn’t!   Is that a new trend to produce rhythms with percussive acoustic instrument sampling instead of real playing?  Myles Smith uses some “fret noise” on an acoustic guitar like Hi-Hat. Sounds like a drum machine on Nice to Meet You.  Other instruments sound like programming, even the fiddle obligato.  Is it a new wave of country pop?  I might stay calm and keep watching the markets’ trend.

“4x4xU” Lainey Wilson’

The intro starting the Leslie and Wurly sound is ready to soothe us.  Lainey Wilson’s 4x4xU displays another authentic country style. Sometimes it’s nice to hear Hammond and electric piano instead of the steel and resonator guitars, or mandolin and banjo.   Besides the gospel-rock like sound production, its lyrics tell the feelings of traditional country songs.  By the way, Lainey Wilson appears on Yellowstone season 5 rolling as a singer.  I kinda like that.  It’s gonna be more like Jerry Roll on Tulsa King(Both TV series have 101 Studio in the producing team!)  Now the TV series are on streaming to the world and they’re great opportunities to increase music fans, too.
