Thoughts go to Berbers
I haven’t been to Africa while I’ve seen it from Maldives. It was a great experience having a view of the sea surface around the equator. I found out how round the horizon line was. I thought I could swim to Africa under a clear sky, however I remember the tide was particularly strong so that I couldn’t swim straight enough.
I created this track imagining Northern Africa and the Mediterranean. All the instruments I use are “ancient”. Something old, something new. The beauty of music never changes.
